Salento Trekking is the premiere adventure guide to the Nevados National Natural Park, as well as the surrounding region.

The Nevados Natural National Park covers an area of 583 square kilometers and offers some of the most spectacular treks in Colombia. Located in the Cordillera Central of the Colombian Andes, it has eight volcanoes of which three are covered with snow: Nevado del Ruiz, Nevado del Tolima and Nevado Santa Isabel. It has numerous “lagunas” and hot springs, an incredibly diversified flora and is home to many species or birds including hummingbirds, parrots, and Andean condors, as well as mammals such as the spectacled bear, cougar, white-eared opossum.

Salento Trekking is based in the picturesque town of Salento located at the southwest entrance of the Park. The town in itself is worth a detour as part of the Coffee Cultural Landscape of Colombia, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2011. Salento Trekking offers one day and multi-day treks and climbs in the Nevados Natural National Park and exclusively in the Reserva Natural La Cabana. Our treks are tailored to our guests’ fitness and ability level and range from athletic to expert.
